Looking back on this crazy year, we realize how far our members have come despite the challenges of the pandemic. Our mission is to provide a low-risk way for food entrepreneurs to get started and scale up, so this is exciting news. We salute these five businesses who built enough capacity to move from Garden State Kitchen into a proprietary space of their own.
Congratulations to Lulu’s Artisanal Lemonade who has signed a lease in Montclair and will soon be moving from the farmers markets into a store of her own. Same story for Morefield’s gourmet ice cream who is opening a shop in Westwood and Yumpanadas who found a space in Cranford and added bowls and sandwiches to their Latin-Creole empanada menu. At the beginning of this year, Three Daughters Baking Co. opened a café inside the General Store Cooperative. How Delish, one of our very first makers, also opened in West Orange and now offers lunch along with their decadent vegan desserts.
Are you looking to start or scale a small food business? We can help.
